This data is obtained through Android Health Connect, and only after you have explicitly granted Sanad Rewards permission to read it. You may withdraw that permission at any time from the Health Connect settings on your device, and Sanad Rewards will stop reading the data immediately.

2. Use of Information:

Health and fitness information obtained through Health Connect is used solely to operate the walking challenge and reward features described in the “Health and Fitness Data” section below. It is never used for advertising, ad targeting, or profiling.

3. Data Retention:

We retain health and fitness information collected through Health Connect only for as long as necessary to operate the challenge and reward features described in this Privacy Policy, or as required by applicable laws and regulations. Activity data associated with a challenge is retained for 6 months after that challenge ends, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised. If you delete your account, all health and fitness data associated with it is deleted.

4. Data Security:

Sanad Rewards is committed to ensuring the security of your personal information. Industry-standard security measures are implemented to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your data. While we strive to secure your data, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is entirely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

12. Health and Fitness Data (Android Health Connect)

Sanad Rewards is a rewards programme built around optional walking challenges. When you choose to join a challenge, you set out to reach a daily step goal and earn reward points when you reach it. To operate that feature, and only with your explicit permission, Sanad Rewards reads the following data from Android Health Connect:

Steps — used to measure your progress toward the step goal of a challenge you have joined, to show that progress on your own challenge screen and weekly chart, and to determine when you have earned the reward points for that challenge.

Total calories burned — displayed to you on your own challenge summary and daily chart, alongside your steps and distance, so you can see the benefit of the walking you have done. It is not used to decide whether you have earned a reward.

Distance — displayed to you in kilometres on the same summary and chart, as a more intuitive measure of the same walking activity.

 

13. How this data is handled

Access is read-only. Sanad Rewards does not write, modify or delete any data in Health Connect.

We do not sell, rent or transfer your health and fitness data to third parties, including advertising platforms, data brokers or information resellers.

We do not use your health and fitness data to determine credit-worthiness, insurance eligibility, employment suitability, or for lending purposes.

We do not use your health and fitness data for advertising or ad targeting.

14. Challenge leaderboards

Challenges include a leaderboard so participants can see how they are placed. A leaderboard shows a participant’s name, profile picture and a points score derived from their activity. It does not display anyone’s step count, distance or calories burned. Your own step, distance and calorie figures are visible only to you.

 

15. Your control over this data

You can withdraw Sanad Rewards’ access at any time in Health Connect: open Health Connect → App permissions → Sanad Rewards and turn off the permissions. Sanad Rewards will stop reading your data immediately.

You can delete your account, and all health and fitness data held with it, from within the app: Profile → Delete Account.
